Wake up

Isn’t it strange that when we’re growing up we are taught that we can be whatever we want to be, to dream big and to do really extraordinary things with our lives…but then the minute we turn 18 most people are mentoring us into safety, mediocrity and “realistic” goals

Why even tell our kids they can do anything and be anything if we don’t really believe it?

I remember being super confused at age 18 when all of the sudden people started making fun of me instead of supporting my big dreams like they did before. I almost got lost, actually for a few years I did. I partied a lot in hopes of forgetting my “stupid” dreams, I stuffed them down and stopped sharing them with other people. I tried to be normal and fit in. I was miserable for awhile. But I was lucky enough to get fired from my job and find instead a tribe of people that actually believed in extraordinary lives. They encouraged me to grow and learn and fail under their mentorship. I’m so thankful for them. I share this because I want other “dreamers” to know; You aren’t alone, there is a way, the life you want is there, you just have to go get it. Don’t let people who aren’t chasing their dreams talk you into quitting on yours. Go where you are celebrated, find the ones that call out the best in you, and go do what you were put on this earth to do. We need the dreamers to wake up and become the doers. ❤️
